China’s Belt and Road Initiative. A View from the Periphery

This round table discussion will present updated information on the implementation of China’s Belt and Road Initiative in Myanmar and West Asia. Experts from the Department of East Asian Studies (University of Vienna) and specialists from outside the university as well as from NGOs will discuss the question whether or not the Chinese initiative creates the kind of “win-win-situation” which the Chinese Government propagates as its main aim.
