Racial-Sexual Geometries in the Queer East

A discussion from different geographical, intellectual and political positions
about racialization, racism and othering in the (post-)Soviet context.
Thematically, the roundtable foregrounds the racial and ethnic dimensions
of sexual politics in their current and historical manifestations. Thereby
refl ecting on the extent in which queer political activism builds solidarity
with groups that seek racial/ethnic justice, but also showing the dangers of
LGBTIQ-activism that supports modes of racist national discourses.
