The Museum of Lost Technology // Project Presentation

The Museum of Lost Technology explores textiles in the context of art and technology. The project investigates the present-day implications of the historical gendered social and spatial segregation of material practices. By conducting experiments that intersect thread-based metaphors and making techniques with various scientific disciplines, Kurbak unearths “lost possibilities”. Studio experiments are guided by conversations with scientific experts, art theory research, museum research, and comparative histories.
